My beautiful Mom

Filed in: Personal, Portraits

This is a special post for my mom, Lupe. And this is her! Isn’t she beautiful? Especially when she smiles 🙂 Anyway, I had been wanting to take some pictures of her so we did on a few occasions. Once when she helped me on a shoot and then another time before she helped tear down the studio after a session. We had lot’s of fun, she was cracking me up this woman!!! LOL. I want to congratulate my mom on retiring from her position as the Art Teacher at Flamingo Road Christian Academy. She was their art teacher for 15 years, she even taught me when I went to school there. Believe it or not, she was the first person to send me to the principal’s office. HA! The good old days. She’s ready to enjoy this new chapter in her life and I cant wait to see her blossom even more into the beautiful woman the she is.

Mom- you have been through more than average person, but God has always had a grand plan for you and continues to bless you with life, courage & happiness. You have chosen to live life to the fullest and I’m so happy to be part of it, everyday with you.  You’ve been the best mother to me even through the worst times with your health. You always put your family first and you continue to be the strength of this family when really, we should be your strength. Thank you for being my rock. I am so excited to see what God has planned  for you in this next stage of your life. Never give up on life, because you truly live it up so well! Cant wait to see more paintings, crafts, interesting home cooked meals, album designs (yes, my mom helps me with albums designs because she absolutely rocks at them!) Oh and i think I smell a celebration cooking… looks like were gonna have to plan a party to CELEBRATE! 🙂  I love you more than you know.

I heard a saying once, “When you photograph someone in color it’s not like photographing them in black and white. In black and white, you capture their soul.” I remembered that saying when I saw this specific picture of my mom. This is truly her right here 🙂 I love it.

I was having a rough day today so i decided to go to facebook to look at some of my favs photographer’s photos. This is something i do to relax…. and then I saw your blog about your mom. It is rare to see kids express themselves about their parents, it is usually the other way around. This has such a beautiful message and you are right, your mother does have a beautiful smile. Thank you for sharing because it really made my day better. God bless the special relationship that you share with your mother.
