Meet Sylvia. An adorable, fun loving, 6 year old little girl who was thrilled about her first serious photo-shoot! 🙂 I’m friends with her mom Wendy, who approached me a few months back to organize what would be Sylvia’s “Up” inspired Birthday shoot. Mom and Grandma joined for the shoot that day. I saw Sylvia walking up holding her big jar of coins with a sign on the front that read…”Paradise Fall’s”. Grandma says to me… “You know, she didn’t even sleep last night…she was so excited about her shoot!” How adorable is that?!
Anyway, if you’ve seen the movie “Up” you already know that Paradise Falls is the dreamland where young Ellie and Carl are saving up to go to; the lost land in South America. The movie recounts the beauty of the simple things they enjoyed together- finding pictures in big puffy clouds , grape soda, painting their house, saving pennies for paradise falls…. Seventy years later, Ellie has died. Carl remembers the promise he made to her of one day finding Paradise Falls. Then, when he inadvertently hits a construction worker, he is forced to go to a retirement home. But before they can take him, he and his house fly away. However he has a stowaway aboard. An 8 year old boy named Russell, who’s trying to get an Assisting the Elderly badge. Together, they embark on an adventure, where they encounter talking dogs, an evil villain and a rare bird named Kevin. What an adventure and what a cute story. Although I wish Ellie didn’t have to die!!! 🙁
